NCS Programs - Study to Show Yourself Approved...

The progressive curriculum at NCS adheres to the requirements of Alberta Education. While the curriculum is comprehensive, the children are taught the Alberta Curriculum from a Biblical perspective. Providing a comprehensive curriculum infused with God's Word allows the best foundation for academic excellence and success. Students acquire the appropriate academic training, moral values and life skills along their educational path, which helps them to develop into mature disciples of Christ.

From grades K to 9, classes include Bible, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Health,
Language Arts, Physical Education, Art, Music and Computers. The curriculum focuses on developing critical thinking skills, problem solving, spiritual and moral development, student-centred opportunities, self-discipline, commitment, citizenship, and community responsibility.

Our computer lab, sports program, drama, student council, and numerous other courses, allow the student to participate in a wide range of curricular activities. Each child is encouraged to develop to their own potential through educational opportunities in a supportive, nurturing environment. Our curriculum acknowledges the need for basic skills and knowledge. Students must be able to think, reason, problem solve and communicate clearly if they are to be effective, discerning ambassadors. They are taught to use the tools of technology in a responsible and discerning fashion.
